Hopkins Creek Hosts Dorothy F. Bailey Ph.D., author of “In A Different Light.”

Middle River, MD –  Women’s History Month.   Join us for a discussion and book-signing event on March 14, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. featuring Dorothy F. Bailey, Ph.D.   This event will be open to the public and light refreshments will be served.  There will also be an opportunity to meet some of the women featured in the book.  IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT illuminates with a passing spotlight a moment in the lives of women who have gathered wisdom for seven decades or more.

Ms. Bailey has been recognized by Washingtonian Magazine as one of the area’s most powerful women.  As an elected official, she has represented the citizens of Prince George’s County, Maryland on the County Council for eight years.  Enjoy with us this discussion as we learn of the wisdom many many have gathered over the years.

Hopkins Creek Residents Rock & Roll for Valentine’s Day!

In celebration of the Valentine’s Day Holiday, residents at Hopkins Creek enjoyed a very special night!  A stuffed shrimp dinner, fashion show sponsored by our own Roberta Williams, a red rose for the women, buttoners for the men, music and entertainment with Sal Serio (and yes – Elvis was in the building!) and red velvet cake for dessert – made a delicious and fun evening for all!  Lighthouse Senior Living is always finding ways to celebrate special events so stay tuned for the upcoming St. Patty’s Day festivities we are planning!
